By accessing or using FamilyOps ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FamilyOps is a family management platform that provides tools for task management, calendar scheduling, meal planning, recipe organization, shopping lists, and an AI-powered family assistant. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated or modified at any time.

3. Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration

4. Family Accounts

When you create or join a family on FamilyOps, all data added to that family (tasks, events, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists) is shared with and visible to all members of that family. You are responsible for inviting only trusted individuals to your family.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload malicious code or content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content

6. AI Assistant

The FamilyOps AI assistant is powered by third-party AI models. While we strive to provide helpful and accurate responses, the AI may occasionally produce incorrect or incomplete information. You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical decisions. The AI assistant can create, modify, and delete data in your family account when instructed.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by FamilyOps and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create through the Service.

8. Subscription & Payments

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles will be clearly communicated before purchase. Refund policies will be specified at the point of sale.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyOps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FamilyOps operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
